Musical Philosophy
When one listens to a true song, a song of "real life music", then, as told by Beethoven, they are taken somewhere.  For this type of music is such that it moves people, it makes them think.  It is not mindless.  The listener is transported to the composer's state of mind (frame of mind?) at the time it was written.  Surely, the words may tell the tale; yet it sometimes is deeper than that.  Sometimes, you have to turn out the lights, stop the world, and listen with your heart and soul.  Sometimes, you have to let the song take you where it will.  This is the point of "real life music"-to be real, to be true, to mean something.  "Something" may be light or darkness-for there is truth in all.   -Mark Piecha
